Background
Tea & Tequila (Est. 2021) has been both a name and a passion for a business idea since 2009.
So why has it taken so long you might ask?
The answer is...Life happened.
As a husband and Wife team we have over 15 years experience in Weddings and Events and Tea & Tequila was the next stage of our life plan but life well and truly did happen!
Since 2009, we have had a house move, a Wedding, a growing family, a location move followed by a house build (this took up 5 years!) and our latest very happy piece of news was our first grandchild, a beautiful boy born in lockdown!
So as you can see....its been a little hectic! Tea & Tequila is and always has been so important to us that the timing had to be just perfect in order for us to devote our heart and soul into it with no distractions. So when the awful events of Covid hit, life for us in general slowed down and we started to set the wheels in motion. With a robust business plan already in place, we got to work.
We fell in love with and bought a 1950's Rice horse box in June 2020. It was a very sorry state and need lots of TLC.

So, for the first 10 months, we spent lots of time, first of all ensuring its safety by stripping it back to the chassis, repairing steelwork where needed. The brakes were so old, they had to be sent off to a specialist in the Midlands, and then came the bodywork. We could have cried when we started on the shell- there were years and years and layers and layers of peeling blue and green paint and rotten woodwork! It was heartbreaking!
After 3 solid months of hard work on the shell alone, the once rotten, bluey-green tired-looking Horsebox was now the beautiful Black, Silver, and copper home of Tea & Tequila with stunning polished wood detail affectionately named Roxy! (And Roxy was just the beginning of our journey!)

By now we had completed work on the interior for the rustic , vintage surf vibe bar that has been our passion for so long! Our journey has been a long one but it has been so worth it and we are so very excited for the future.

Winter 2021/Spring 2022
Following a successful Summer 2021 at Summer Valley, the wheels were put in motion and Roxy now operates under a premises license there during the holiday season. It then became clear that we needed to expand our thinking with regards to the future of the business and so it was back to the drawing board to add to the Tea & Tequila family.....Welcome, Johnny's Bar and Bert's Bar!
Both Johnny's Bar and Berts Bar are our mobile pop up bars available for Weddings and Events.
